Operations Coordinator- Rating Lead

Job Summary

Before an applicant's score can be delivered to their program of choice, their test needs to be graded! At Altus, we call this process "rating". We're looking for a new Operations Coordinator (Rating Lead) to join our team and own all things "rating" for the CASPer test. Your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to) rater recruitment, onboarding and training of raters, rating operations (inviting raters and managing test grading across multiple markets), quality control of our different rater pools, and timely results delivery for schools.

As the guru of rating, you will build and maintain trust with our applicants and academic partners by ensuring best practices in our rating process and pool of raters, and uphold the highest quality standards at all times. Alongside our research and data team, you’ll have the opportunity to dig deep into the numbers and to use your analytical skills to refine our rating processes through data-driven improvements. You will be the expert on our rater pool and you will drive change by interpreting the data and sharing your insights regularly with the team.

You will be an active member of the operations team, contributing to the advancement of test operations and continuous process improvement overall. You’ll also work along our Customer Success team to ensure a smooth delivery of scores into their admissions process. Responsibilities and Duties

 

  • Rating for all English CASPer tests across 4 global markets (Canada, USA, UK and Australia)
  • Rater recruitment within each country
  • Rater management (4 separate pools totaling hundreds of independent contractors)
  • Quality assurance of all rating processes and results delivery
  • Quantitative analysis on our raters to derive insights about their performance for internal as well as external use  
  • Process improvement to continuously optimize our results turnaround time to our partner schools
  • Maintenance of trust with our applicants and our academic partners
  • Sharing learnings derived from raters and rating performance with the entire team to improve overall test performance and applicant experience

Requirements:

  • Analytical with a structured work approach
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized
  • Strong technical skills and comfortable making data-driven decisions
  • Curiosity to ask “why” and the aptitude to turn numbers into insights
  • Nurturing and empathetic with a professional, positive attitude and a sense of humility
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Startup experience preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
